Join us for this free annual event on Tuesday 4th December 2018.
From 3.30pm we invite you to gather on Crown Street to countdown to the lights being switched on. You can expect hot drinks, snacks and a performance by Gorbals Children's Choir.
From 4.30pm at St Francis Centre, there will be entertainment, local stall holders and a visit from Santa too!
As usual, we will also be collecting food bank donations at Crown Street, so please donate if you can. Store cupboard items, toiletries and sanitary products are all gratefully received. We also accept food bank donations throughout the year at our office.
We will also be collecting letters for Santa this year. Please ask us for a special letter slip to fill and post in our special postbox between 4th and the 13th December. You can also post a letter written at home too, but please make sure your full name, address, and signature of a parent is provided. We want to make sure that your response from Santa finds its way back to you.
Please note: There will be photography taking place on both Crown Street and at St Francis Centre. If you have any concerns about you or your child being photographed, please alert a member of New Gorbals HA staff at either event. These photographs will be used by New Gorbals to promote community engagement activities in the area, both in print and online.
