Glasgow Green will be a city hotspot during the Glasgow 2018 European Championships, bringing together sport, culture and entertainment to provide a daily programme of free activities for everyone.
GO LIVE! at the Green will take place from 2-12 August. This innovative live experience will bring together sport, fitness, health, arts, food and drink as never before in an engaging and exciting way to encourage people of all ages to lead healthy and active lives.
Access is free and no tickets are required. Open daily from 10am until 7pm.*

Enjoy 11 days of free fun and entertainment
Visitors can expect an action-packed programme of sporting and cultural activity that will allow everyone to play their part in the celebrations. From live exhibitions from The Glasgow Science Centre, come and try sport and fitness activities from Glasgow Sport, a colourful big top marquee with world-class circus performers entertaining the crowds and loads more, there will undoubtedly be lots on offer each day.
To whet appetites further there will also be the Kitchen Garden food village, an attraction in its own right, with a blend of fresh, local delicacies, live cooking demonstrations from top Scottish chefs, tasting sessions and healthy eating guidance throughout.
GO LIVE! at the Green will be a vibrant, atmospheric and fun environment where people from all over Glasgow, Scotland and Europe can create and share inspirational and memorable moments as part of The Glasgow 2018 European Championships.

Sizzling summer sports
Inspired by all of the European Championship action? Then now is the time to try out a wide range of sports in fun and interactive zones. From computer simulated swimming challenges with the athletes, cycling pump tracks, Bubble football and street golf to a huge mix of come and try games and sessions in sports such as netball, boxing and rugby there truly is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day.
World- class circus acts at the big top
Celebrate 250 years of circus in the UK by taking in a family friendly show in the colourful big top marquee. Featuring a breath-taking mix of acrobatics, surprising aerial feats and masterful juggling, everyone is sure to enjoy these awe-inspiring performances.
Pop up Dance, Opera and Music
From dance workshops to specially created pop up child and young people focussed opera shows by Scottish Opera, plus the chance to show off musical talents by playing the Tom Binns piano that will be set up at GO LIVE! at the Green there’s culture galore!
Get Healthy and Enjoy Nature
Fresh air and open spaces means there’s lots of hands-on nature themed activities on offer across Glasgow Green. From sessions based around ‘Animal Olympics’ which reflect the sporting events of the Championships to the fantastic touring BodyWorks exhibition from Glasgow Science Centre, which will explore the science underpinning our health and wellbeing. These are fantastic interactive sessions for people of all ages, guaranteed to get hearts, brains and smiles working.
Be there for the Cycling Action
Watch all of the live action and cheer on world-class cyclists as they roar into Glasgow Green. The venue will also host three days of elite cycling events during the Championships and these are free to attend.
