NGHA and Keep Scotland Beautiful partner for Community Litter Pick Hub Mar 15, 2024

In response to tenants’ requests to get involved, we are delighted to launch our first tenant led community litter pick on the launch day of #SpringCleanScotland 2024, Friday 15th March, in partnership with Keep Scotland Beautiful and Glasgow City Council.

The Association is also part of the Upstream Battle Campaign which aims to keep rubbish out of the Clyde. As part of this we have undertaken a survey to monitor rubbish along the Clyde walkway. Upstream Battle focuses on changing behaviour to prevent marine litter at source along rivers in Scotland.

Look out for us in our Hi-Vis in the weeks to come across the Gorbals and please get in touch if you have an hour to spare to come and join in.

As a Keep Scotland Beautiful Litter Picking Hub, the Association can also lend out our litter picking equipment to local groups or individuals. Whether you want to join in our pre-arranged picks, or fancy getting your own group together, you can really help make a difference.

If you’d like to find out more, or to book out the litter picking equipment, please contact Susan Burn susan@newgorbalsha.org.uk or phone 0141 429 3900.
