Summer Holiday Programme Jul 05, 2022

The sun might not be here but there's still plenty of summer fun to be had while school's out. You can now apply for our Summer Holiday Programme sessions running from Tuesday 12th July - Friday 5th August.

What is the Summer Holiday Programme?

It's a free fun packed programme of art, dance, drama and sports on Tuesdays (Junior sessions), Thursdays (Senior sessions), and Fridays (Juniors in the morning and Seniors in the afternoon) throughout the school holidays.

There are two sessions each day.  Sessions are free and a free lunch will be provided each day. Lunch will be provided if a child attends either, or both, sessions - they do not need to attend the full day to get lunch.

For the full programme please see here (please click)

Who can go?

Children from 5-12 years old can attend the programme.

Children living with New Gorbals Housing Association tenants can apply to attend all sessions each week and children living with people who are not New Gorbals Housing Association tenants (home owners or tenants of another landlord) can apply to attend 3 half day sessions each week.

Children aged between 5 and 8 can attend Junior sessions and children aged between 8 and 12 can attend Senior sessions. If the child is 8 they can attend either the Junior or Senior sessions - not both

When is it?

Sessions run throughout the summer holidays. We are currently taking applications for sessions running between the 12th July and 5th August. We will contact those who attended sessions to let them know about plans for the final week.

Junior sessions run on Tuesdays between 9.30am and 3.00pm and Fridays between 9.30am and 1.00pm.

Senior sessions run on Thursdays between 9.30 and 3.00pm and Fridays between 12.00pm and 3.00pm.

There will not be a session on Friday 15th July as it is the Glasgow Fair.

Where is it?

Sessions are at St Francis Primary School, 430 Old Rutherglen Road.

How do I apply?

Apply by filling in this online form (please click). You will need to fill in a separate form for each child.

What happens next?

If you have been allocated a space you will hear back from us by 5pm on Friday 8th July

We will do our best to give as many children a place as possible. We may not be able to offer you as many sessions as you would like and children of New Gorbals Housing Association tenants will get priority.
