We want to learn more about life for people living in the Gorbals so that we can deliver services that fit with the community’s priorities.
Partners from the Gorbals Community Engagement Group are working together to carry out the Big Gorbals Survey to help us understand your experience of life in the Gorbals. The survey will be carried out in January and February 2024 and is completely anonymous.
The past few years have brought many changes for all of us, most recently the cost of living crisis. The information you provide in this survey will help us understand what these changes have meant for the Gorbals community.
In order for us to get the best picture of life for people living in the Gorbals, we are looking for as many people to take part in the Big Gorbals Survey as possible.
You do not need to answer every question, but the more you answer, the more useful the information will be, so please answer as many questions as you feel you can.
You can take part in the Big Gorbals Survey in the following ways:
- NGHA tenants or NGPM factored owners can click the link in the text message you receive from the Association
- Scan the QR code on the posters
- Speak to one of the dedicated survey team who’ll be knocking on doors in Gorbals in January and February 2024
- Speak to someone from NGHA, Crossroads Youth and Community Association (the Barn), Gorbals Youth Café, TASK, Giggle n Grow or Gorbals Parish Church
The survey is being conducted by Research Resource, an independent organisation who have experience carrying out similar surveys. Over the next few weeks the Research Resource Team will be out knocking doors in the Gorbals area asking people to take part in the survey. Researchers will carry identification and a copy of this letter at all times. Please ensure that you ask to see a copy of their identification.
Responses will be anonymised and held securely by Research Resource in line with the Data Protection Act 2018.
If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact New Gorbals Housing Association on 0141 429 3900 and ask to speak with Michael Fullerton (Community Co-ordinator). Alternatively, you can call Research Resource direct on 0141 641 6410.
