Head of Finance

We are a dynamic community-controlled organisation, owning and managing 2,500 homes for rent and factor 1,900 owners’ homes. We are committed to the sustained physical, social, and economic regeneration of Gorbals.

We are looking to fill the following post (35 hours per week)

Head of Finance

As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational accounting, financial, treasury and audit services to the Association. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will also contribute to the strategic direction, governance, and operational success of the Association.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the finance function developing and implementing a financial & treasury strategy ensuring financial sustainability.
• Oversee the development, monitoring and delivery of the associations medium- and long-term financial plans and annual budgets.
• Build and sustain strong professional relationships with all lending institutions.
• Deliver and regularly review all financial operations, accounting procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with SHR, OSCR, HMRC and funders requirements protecting NGHA’s assets and charitable status.
• Oversee the financial and regulatory integrity of payroll, VAT returns, pensions, and any other payments to HMRC.
• Procure adequate insurance cover in respect of building, office premises, equipment, public liability, employer liability, and our vehicle fleet.
• Lead on the association’s digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure a programme of self-assessment of compliance with Regulatory Framework and Regulatory Standards of Governance and Financial Management in relation to the Finance function to ensure compliance of the Annual Assurance Statement.

Salary:  EVH Grade 10 – SM17 – SM19 -£80,045 – £83,999 (Pay award pending April 2026)
