Volunteering
The Association offers volunteering opportunities to be involved in the delivery of our work, including supporting events, supporting food work and through the Volunteer Advocate role with Gorbals Ideas Fund.
Our volunteering offer:

Bernie Houston - local volunteer
The Gorbals grows group has had a great impact on me. Before coming to the group, I was isolated in my house most of the week.
In 2024, I attended a ‘Be Part of Something’ event after seeing the advert in the NGHA newsletter. After attending, I decided to try and get involved in my own community. Prior to attending groups in the Gorbals, I always found it difficult to speak to people I didn’t know, but my confidence across the last year has grown massively.
I’m now involved in Gorbals Grows, Litter Pick, Men’s Group and I am involved in the Tenants Panel!
