Gorbals Greatest Garden 2026 Winners!

The judging panel have been out and made their decisions – the Gorbals Greatest Garden Winner 2026 has been crowned!

A huge well done to Mrs Murrin from Cavendish Street for the best Gorbals Garden this year! As the first-place winner, Mrs Murrin has been awarded a £250 B&Q voucher.

Well done also to our two runners up, who both also showcased beautiful outdoor spaces. Mr Toska of Cavendish Place and Mr and Mrs Mulligan of Waddell Street received £100 and £50 B&Q vouchers respectively for their great gardening efforts.

This year’s Gorbals Greatest Garden entries were judged by the Gorbals Growers, a group of keen, green-fingered enthusiasts who meet weekly at Riverside to plant, catch up and learn about growing plants and vegetables.

Runner up Mr Mulligan receives his prize voucher in his garden

All gardens in the G5 area were eligible to enter, including front or rear gardens, balconies and window boxes. However, allotments do not fall into the Greatest Garden criteria.
