Gorbals Ideas Fund 2025 Final Voting Round Now Live!
We have now reached the final stage of Gorbals Ideas Fund voting for 2025. The final ideas have been costed and are waiting for your vote!
There are 8 ideas in total hoping to receive funding from this year’s £60k Gorbals Ideas Fund pot:
Seasonal Family Fun for All
A family support group offering free or low-cost trips and activities for families facing financial hardship or social isolation.
Taste of the Gorbals
A monthly multicultural food-sharing event where residents bring small dishes from their culture to celebrate diversity and shared stories.
Community Self-Defence Classes
Weekly self-defence sessions for anyone aged 12+ focused on safety awareness, building confidence and learning practical techniques.
Community Transport
A community-run transport service helping residents reach groups, events and essential services, especially where bus routes are limited.
Walking Football
Regular walking football sessions to support physical activity and improve wellbeing.
Conversation Benches
Designated chat benches across the Gorbals, offering friendly spaces for conversation and connection.
Northern Soul for the Gorbals
Free weekly Northern Soul dance classes for adults 18+.
Crown Street Camera Collective
An open photography group for all skill levels, using cameras or smartphones to capture local life.
Projects seeking funding are looking for between £4,500 and £12,000 from Gorbals Ideas Fund to help them progress their ideas within the community. As with previous years, voters are able to select a number of projects to receive funding, up to the budget limit of £60,000. For example you may pick 5 projects looking for £10,000 each, and another 2 projects looking for £5,000 in funding.
