Gorbals Greatest Garden 2026
Summer is here and we’re on the hunt for Gorbals Greatest Garden this year! Do you have the best garden, balcony or window box in G5? Then why not enter our competition to win a B&Q voucher!
The Gorbals Greatest Garden 2026 competition runs throughout July with the last date for entries Friday 31st July at 5pm.
To take part, simply call the office on 0141 429 3900 and ask for the Communities Team, or email communities@newgorbalsha.org.uk with the address you’d like to nominate for entry. You can nominate yourself, a neighbour or any fantastic garden you’ve seen in the Gorbals.
There are three prizes up for grabs: £250 B&Q voucher, £100 B&Q voucher and £50 B&Q voucher up for grabs for first, second and third place gardens respectively.
All entries will be judged by the Gorbals Growers, a group of keen, green-fingered enthusiasts who meet weekly at Riverside to plant, catch up and learn about growing plants and vegetables.
The group was initially funded by Gorbals Ideas Fund and is open to anyone in the area interested in planting and growing. They meet on Mondays at 5.30pm at the back of 12 Commercial Court. If you are interested in joining the group, please email sean@newgorbalsha.org.uk
Please note: All gardens are eligible to enter, including front or rear gardens, balconies and window boxes. However, allotments are not included.
