New Community Police Drop-in Service at NGHA

Description:

Local community police officers will be holding weekly drop-in sessions every Thursday from 10am until 12 noon in our reception area from 14th August.

As the front counter of Gorbals Police Office is currently closed to the public, it’s hoped that this new drop-in service will help improve face-to-face contact between the police and the Gorbals community. The service is open to anyone who lives in the Gorbals area, not just NGHA tenants.

During these sessions, police officers are happy to talk about any concerns or issues within the local area. They can offer advice and guidance on a wide range of topics and will work alongside our housing officers to help resolve any issues that may arise.

A quiet room is also available if anyone wishes to have a private conversation.

As well as offering a touch-point for individual issues, the police will share information on any crime trends in the area and offer advice on how to appropriately report anything you see.

The first session is on Thursday 14th August and there’s no need to book or call ahead. Simply drop in between 10am and 12 noon to meet and talk with your local community police officer.
